1917 में लिखा गया यह उपन्यास शरत चंद्र की कलम से निकला हुआ एक महान उपन्यास है । प्रेम और त्याग की भावना के प्रतीक इस उपन्यास की लोकप्रियता का अंदाजा इसी बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि इस उपन्यास पर अब तक तीन फिल्में बन चुकी है।

Poems By Subhadra Kumari Chauhan (सुभद्रा कुमारी चौहान की कवितायेँ )

भला कौनसा भारतवासी होगा जिसने झाँसी की रानी कविता नही सुनी होगी !
एक ऐसी कविता जिसे सुनकर एक सच्चे हिन्दुस्तानी का खून आज भी खौल उठता है। जो आज भी रगों में जोश भर देती है।
ये कविता सुभद्रा जी की कलम से ही निकल सकती थी।

ऐसी ही कई कविताओं का संग्रह है ये पुस्तिका।



Subhadra Kumari Chauhan (1904- February 15, 1948) was an Indian Poetess famous for her emotionally charged Hindi songs. She was jailed twice for her involvement in protests against the British rule in 1923 and 1942. She has authored a number of popular works in Hindi Poetry. Her most famous composition is Jhansi ki Rani , an emotionally charged poem describing the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai. The poem is one of the most recited and sung poems in Hindi literature. This and her other poems, Veeron Ka Kaisa Ho Basant, Rakhi Ki Chunauti and Vida, openly talk about the freedom movement. They are said to have inspired great numbers of Indian youth to participate in the Indian Freedom Movement.

महादेवी वर्मा की कवितायेँ ( Poems By Mahadevi Verma)

Mahadevi Verma(1907-1987), a famous Hindi poet and writer, was born in 1907, in Farrukhabad in a family of lawyers।

Mahadevi Verma is regarded as one of the four pillars of Chhayavadi School of Hindi literature. Her most famous works include Atita Ke Chalchitra (The Moving Frames of the Past) and Smriti Ki Rekhayen (The Lines of Memory). Her famous poetic publications are Nihar, Rashmi, Neerja and Sandhya Geet. Her work shrinkhala ki kadiyan reflects the plight of Indian women. She had another famous work to her credit; Sahityakar Ki Astha..


महादेवी वर्मा को छायावाद के चार सतम्भो में गिना जाता है । उनकी मशहूर रचनाओं में अतीत के चलचित्र , समृति की रेखाएं मुख्य है, वहीं काव्य संग्रहों में निहार, रश्मि, नीरजा एवं संध्या गीत मुख्य है।

हरिवंश राय बच्चन की कवितायेँ ( Great Poems By Harivansh Rai Bachchan )

Harivanshrai "Bachchan" Shrivastav (1907 –2003) was a distinguished Hindi Poet of Chhayavaad movement (romantic upsurge) of early 20th century Hindi Literature. He is best known for his early work Madhushala (मधुशाला)। He is also the father of Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan.
Bachchan is best known for his early lyric poyems Madhushala (मधूशाला) (The House of Wine), first published in 1935, social unity was the running theme of his greatest poetry collection. Madhushala brought instant fame.

उनकी अन्य रचनाओ में Nisha Nimantran (निशा निमंत्रण), Khadi Ke Phool (खादी के फूल), Ekant Sangeet (एकांत संगीत) and Satrangini (सतरंगिनी) मुख्य है . नवम्बर , 1984, में उन्होंने इंदिरा गाँधी की हत्या पर अपनी अन्तिम कविता लिखी - एक नवम्बर १९८४ (Ek November १९८४)। अनाधिकारिक रूप से वे हिन्दी के अन्तिम राष्ट्रीय कवि माने जाते है।

His autobiography, consisting of four volumes namely Kya bhooloon kya yaad karoon (क्या भूलूं क्या याद करूं), Need ka nirmaan fir (नीड़ का निर्माण फिर), Basere se door (बसेरे से दूर) and Dashdwaar se sopaan tak (दशद्वार से सोपान तक) (abridged and translated into English as In the afternoon of Time) was chosen for the Saraswati Samman (सरस्वती सम्मान)।

Chandrakanta is a popular Hindi novel by Devki Nandan Khatri. It is considered to be the first work of prose in the modern Hindi language, and may have significantly contributed to the language's popularity.

Chandrakanta is notable for introducing the concepts of "Aiyyar" and "Tilism" to Hindi literature.

An Aiyyar (male) or Aiyyara (female) is a Spy , in the service of a king, who specializes in making disguises. The Aiyyar can make his face resemble any person, or sometimes an animal, using special makeup. He generally captures a target and imprisons him, then impersonates the prisoner while furthering his or the king's own cause.

A Tilism is a kind of Maze many secret locations, passages and prisons. It is intended to be "broken", or deciphered, by a person; once broken, all its doors are opened and all its prisoners are released. The person who successfully breaks the Tilism also gains the immense treasures hidden within it.

The novel depicts a number of friendly and unfriendly Aiyyar।
